🕉️ Aroma Origins & Fun Facts
-
Rooted in tradition – Nag Champa combines sandalwood with champak or plumeria (frangipani) and has been used in Hindu and Buddhist rituals for centuries.
-
Champak’s legacy – Magnolia champaca, also known as champak, blooms with strongly fragrant flowers used historically in temples and hair adornments in South and Southeast Asia.
-
From incense to culture – The aroma became globally known in the 1960s-70s, used in Bob Dylan and Grateful Dead concerts and acclaimed in Western yoga studios.
-
A spiritual staple – Halmaddi resin—sometimes replaced today—was once an essential binder in Nag Champa incense, offering a signature earthy, slightly damp wood aroma.

Responsibly Made with Our Eco Wax Blend
Every melt we pour is crafted using our unique Eco Wax blend of coconut and rapeseed—and that’s it. No palm oil. No soy. No beeswax. No paraffin. No polymers. No GMOs. Just two natural waxes working in harmony.
Our cotton wicks are completely free from lead and zinc, and each melt is poured into aluminium tins manufactured in Hull, supporting local craftsmanship and reducing transport emissions.
The rapeseed in our wax comes from farms across the UK and Europe. The coconut wax is sourced from small-scale, indigenous farmers—not corporate plantations—so your purchase helps support ethical, sustainable agriculture.
We’ve made a conscious choice to leave soy behind. With growing concerns about GMOs and the environmental impact of soy farming, switching to our Eco Wax blend is just one more way we’re keeping things clean, green, and deliciously fragrant.
