Discover Our Scented Candles and Wax Melts
Welcome to our collection of scented candles and wax melts, designed to bring beautiful aromas into your home. We understand that choosing the right fragrance experience can be a delightful journey, and we’re here to guide you through what makes our products special. Our focus is on providing high-quality, thoughtfully crafted items that enhance your space with inviting scents.
Our Unique Wax Blend: The Heart of Our Products
At the core of our scented candles and wax melts is our unique, proprietary wax blend. We use our own blend of coconut and rapeseed wax, with absolutely nothing else added. This specific combination isn’t accidental; it’s chosen precisely for its exceptional properties. This blend ensures a slow and clean fragrance release, allowing you to enjoy your chosen scent for longer and more consistently.
Soy-Free and Paraffin-Free by Choice
We are proud to state that we are soy-free and paraffin-free by choice. This decision reflects our commitment to the quality and characteristics of our products. While other waxes like soy have their own merits, we have specifically chosen our coconut and rapeseed blend because we believe it delivers the superior performance and clean burn we aim for. Our blend is also completely free from palm wax and beeswax, ensuring a consistently high-quality, plant-based product. You won’t find any genetically modified ingredients (non-GMO) in our wax, nor any pesticides that harm bees, further reflecting our careful selection process.
Paraffin wax is a common material in the candle industry, known for its ability to hold fragrance and its cost-effectiveness. However, we’ve made a conscious decision to avoid paraffin in all our products. Our primary reason for this is concern over indoor air quality. By exclusively using our coconut and rapeseed blend, we aim to provide a cleaner burning option for your home environment, aligning with our commitment to a slow and clean fragrance release.
Every single one of our scented candles and wax melts is hand-poured with precision and care in small batches right here in Nottingham. We’ve been perfecting our craft since 2018, and the ‘small batch’ approach is fundamental to our quality. This method allows us exceptional control over every aspect of the product, from ensuring perfect fragrance distribution throughout the wax to achieving a flawless finish on each item. It also enables us to conduct rigorous quality checks at every stage, guaranteeing that only the best reaches your home.
We understand that the true test of a scented product is how well its fragrance fills a room. That’s why every single fragrance we offer undergoes thorough testing for both cold and hot scent throw. Cold throw refers to the scent you perceive when the candle or melt is unlit, while hot throw is the fragrance released when it’s actively burning or warming. Our meticulous testing ensures that you get a beautiful and consistent aroma experience whether your product is in use or simply sitting pretty in your home.
Our standard 220g scented candles are designed to provide approximately 45 hours of delightful fragrance when used correctly. To ensure a clean and efficient burn, our wicks are carefully selected and are completely zinc-free and lead-free. Following proper candle care guidelines will help you achieve the best performance and maximise the burn time of your candle, allowing you to savour its aroma for many hours.
For those who prefer a flameless fragrance option, our wax melts are an excellent choice. Wax melts are designed to be used in an electric or tealight warmer – never directly lit like a candle. When warmed, the wax releases its fragrance quickly and efficiently. You might even find that wax melts can feel stronger than candles, precisely because their fragrance is released more rapidly when heated in a warmer. Our wax melts are made by mixing approximately 10% high-quality fragrance oil into our coconut and rapeseed blend wax, which is then poured into rubber moulds and allowed to set for 24 hours to cure perfectly.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience with our wax melts, please follow these important guidelines: always use a suitable wax warmer designed for melts; never overfill your warmer’s dish; never add water to the melt or warmer; and always ensure you never leave a warmer unattended while in use. Once the scent from your wax melt fades, it’s time to replace it. For easy removal, always allow the wax to cool and solidify completely before attempting to swap it out.
We understand that many of our customers have beloved pets, and their well-being is important. While we are not veterinarians and cannot offer medical advice, we do want to share our view on using scented products around animals. An animal’s sense of smell is far more sensitive than a human’s. Therefore, it is our belief that forcing strong scents upon them unnecessarily is not a kind choice. If you have concerns about using scented products around your specific pet, we strongly recommend consulting your veterinarian for their professional advice.
